Tony Meppem

Chief Executive Officer

Tony is a fifth generation farmer and a beef producer in the Northern Murray Darling Basin region.

Tony has a broad range of interests and experiences in agriculture encompassing operational management, R&D&E and marketing. Natural resource management and its relationship to agriculture is an area in which Tony has specialised. He has held various senior appointments in agriculture including:


Senior farmer relationship role with a major ASX listed agricultural company, agricultural produce price negotiation, sales and marketing.

Managing large teams and significant built and natural infrastructure in agricultural research, extension and conservation for the State.

Former principal of a major private consultancy business focusing on developing solutions to significant  land-use conflict issues.

Held a National Leadership position with CSIRO to develop complex strategy paths for sustainable development among multiple organisational coalitions.

Tony has a very good understanding of the full range of aspects required for successful agricultural business. Through his personal experiences and networks Tony is able to bring a broad range of expertise to support a range of investment initiates in agriculture. Tony oversees the day to day operations of FIMA’s agricultural mandates.


Tony has published widely in academic literature and in the popular press, he has an international reputation in developing strategies for sustainable resource and agricultural development and has degrees in:

Bleddyn Gambold

Sydney based Director

Bleddyn has over 35 years’ experience in financial services.

He qualified as a chartered accountant with PriceWaterhouse, Manchester in the UK. From 1982 to 2003 he held senior positions with an international trust bank and a funds management company in Bermuda, London and Hong Kong. In Australia, in 2003, he co-founded a company authorised by ASIC to provide trustee and responsible entity services to registered managed investment schemes. Bleddyn has also been approved by ASIC as a responsible manager and key man for several Australian Financial Services Licensees. He serves as Chairman of Compliance Committees required of investment managers under the Corporations Act.

Bleddyn has a BA (Hons) Degree in Accountancy and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
